Nicholi Reports in on FISE Contest in France

Nicholi sent me the report below on his recent trip to the FISE contest in France. Enjoy it as well as the video and photos he provided.

I just came back from FISE in France. What an amazing trip. It was my first time ever in Europe, and the visit couldn’t have been better. The contest atmosphere was unbelievable. I’ve never seen fans cheering so much for BMX. They yell and scream for all of the riders, no matter where they’re from. They just wanted some good riding. The contest was really worth cheering for. Everyone was riding so well and having fun. The course was also good. Lots of huge tricks and amazing runs went down. I was astonished by how many people in France knew me and how many fans I had. They helped me so much, and I can’t thank them enough. I had tons of fun riding, and did many interviews. FISE was such a huge event in Montpellier. It was on the cover of newspapers, airing LIVE and so many people came to watch every event. My experience in France was incredible and FISE was probably the best BMX experience I’ve ever had. I look forward to going back next year.

When you watch the video I didn’t put any music just to show how loud the crowd was. No music could replace their excitement.

If you throw a cat up the air and in a way that causes it to do flips and twists and try to capture that action with a still photo, you end up with something that isn’t all that impressive and doesn’t tell half of the story of what took place. I am really fortunate to be invited to the Barcelona Extreme Sports Festival. I’m going in the beginning of June, so expect a new update and hopefully a good video from there.
