Diogo Reports on Being Back on the Bike, the Reason he Exists, Hiding Girlfriends in Brazil, and other Topics

Diogo is continuing to recover from his last incident, but is back on his BMX and is looking quite comfortable already. I’ll let him explain…

I’m back on my bike!!  At first it is all that matters and all that I want to let you guys know! I ride my bike since I know that is the reason I exist and it’s so hard to not be able to do it. This was one of the longest times I’ve been off of my bike and I can tell how much my humor changes when I’m not using my energy on my bike. I bought some books and had amazing reading, that got me into other things and helped me a lot, but still my day wasn’t complete. Going to the park or riding street with friends is my best therapy for anything.

Well, my year kinda starts now and I wanna use my time as best as I can. That means staying busy!  X-games Brazil is just around the corner, but I won’t ride. The Brazil X-games is all street and riding street right now is the hardest for me. My bunny hop needs work after almost 3 months off, so I will be watching, and after the comp 3 friends will stay with me for a while including a filmer and a photographer. When we try  to enjoy Brazil we will also try to capture some clips for you guys! It will be my first time hosting U.S. friends in Brazil so I’m excited to show them all my riding spots, but hide all my girlfriends! I’m sure they will be able to find girls on their own. After the trip, I’m heading back to the U.S. again to ride as much as I can!!!  The summer is getting closer and closer !!!

PS: I got invited to Red Bull Elevation… Pumped!!!

Diogo will be joined by teammate Darin Read at the Red Bull Elevation in Mexico early next month where they will ride (and yes, compete) with the best dirt jumpers / trail riders in the world. Stay tuned for coverage of that event. It is a very cool and fun event for all of the riders and is also the real greatest show on earth.
