Diogo Canina / Nicholi Rogatkin

Before you head off to enjoy Thanksgiving with loved ones, I wanted to tell you what two people I’m very thankful for were doing on the weekend before last.

Diogo Canina – Diogo was in Dallas Texas missing the podium by 1 place, but still earning a very respectable and commendable 4th place in the “street” event (which is really park) at the annual LG Action Sports World Championships of BMX. You can see some of the highlights from the event that Vitalbmx.com captured and more proof that life isn’t always fair here. Vital’s video includes clips from every rider in the top 10 except Diogo. Whatever.

Nicholi Rogatkin – While Diogo and all of the other top pros from around the world were competing in Dallas, this little turkey snuck over to Camp Woodward (PA) for a private session on the ramps. Click here to watch Nicholi dialing in his 360 double tail whips and now 720′s on his Mini Lucky. This kid is amazing! I was a only a couple years younger than Nicholi is now when I started racing BMX and I was afraid to pedal down the first hill. Nicholi will continue to prove himself as a little BMX prodigy (and make me understand how much of a little pansy I was at his age) and will be doing so for the camera of Fuel TV in early December. They will be filming for a feature on Nicholi that will run and re-run on Fuel in the months to come. Stay tuned…
